National Trust charcoal is produced from our woodlands and is helping to bring British woodlands back into sustainable management, enabling us to look after the environment, flora and fauna. Larger charcoal goes for BBQs and the smaller charcoal and dust is used in the forge.

 

Our easy to light charcoal is sold in 3kg bags £6.99 per bag when available

Logs

logsAll logs come off the Wimpole Estate as part of an ongoing forestry management plan for the long term sustainability of the woodlands at Wimpole.

Seasoned hardwood logs £80/m³ delivered within 5 miles of Wimpole (SG8 OBW)

Cordwood

Cordwood is the name given to wood that used to make the old English measure of wood not fit for anything else but burning. It used to be 4 foot by 4 foot by 16 foot which is a cord hence cordwood.

Seasoned cordwood in one meter lenghts £55/m³ delivered within 5 miles of Wimpole
Larger quanties of 3m long seasoned range wood available £50/m³ (delivered with tractor and timber trailer) when available but if you want to pick it up then it is £40/m3

Binders can be elm, hazel or willow at £25 per bundle of 25
