The last rake making course was tutored by Mark Allery and his blog for the day can be seen here. You’ll make a wooden rake to help you rake the cut grass and autumn leaves up

The course includes learning how to:

  • Select the wood for the rake head and then shape it which involves cleaving, shaving & drilling
  • Make the rake teeth and fit them into the head
  • Make the handle
  • Assemble all the parts
  • Finally you will rake up the mess and take your rake home ready for the allotment or autumn leaves

The cost is £90 per person and is available on the following date: TBA. Each course is for a maximum of 6 participants only and will run from 10am–4pm.  Tea, coffee  & lunch are provided. Please wear suitable clothing and boots and arrive at 9.30am for a prompt 10am start.
